Poem of a Liberal
why do we get up in the morning
only to be shot down
by uniformity
conformity?
To have all the individuality
stamped out of us
by rules
regulations
restrictions.
We are beaten down.
And by who?
Well,
the man.
By definition
the "man" is
white
political
and high ranking.
This "man" I am talking about
is making it so
people can be thrown in jail
without the fuss of due process.
And one thinks,
'wait...what?'
This "man"
brainwashes us
hiding behind a mask
of patriotism
hiding behind a mask
of "justice"
of "peace"
and "democracy"
Justice?
Where did the due process go?
Peace?
Thousands of people are dying every day
Democracy?
Remember that whole Florida thing?
He says
the economy is great
never been better
Dude.
Have you seen the gas prices lately?
And yet here we are
worshiping a man
who can't even speak correctly.
What is 'nuc-ya-ler' I ask you?
Dear Lord,
